Emmie Macalisang – PMHNP-BC
Ms. Emmie Macalisang is member of the AANP. She obtained her Post-masters in Family Psychiatric Mental Health from Malloy College with a BSN and MSN in Nursing Education from Western Governor’s University. Ms. Macalisang holds a nursing degree from CUNY Queensborough College and a BS in Elementary Education in the Philippines with awards in Academic Excellence Cum Laude and Excellence in Teaching. She worked as an in-patient psychiatric nurse, nurse educator, and charge nurse serving patients of different socioeconomic background with different psychiatric conditions at the NYCHHC Metropolitan where she was Nominated for the DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses. Emmie is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Filipino.
Emmie brings over a decade of experience providing services to individuals experiencing a variety of issues including, but not limited to, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Her focus is a holistic and person-centered approach. She will create a nurturing and supportive environment customized to meet her client’s unique needs. Her goal is to empower her clients to be an active partner in their care, take control of their own mental health, and live a productive life through the integration of evidence-based practice, nursing, talk therapy, and medication management.
Emmie possesses a warm and inviting presence with a remarkable disposition and temperament. She embraces diversity and has respect for all living creatures. Emmie is a devoted, daughter, sister, mother, and wife who enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Her career path and conscious choices are a clear indication of her commitment to the community and her deep desire to leave her palm print on the hearts and minds of the next generation.
