Marcia has spent her career promoting the connections between personal and community mental health and the potential of individuals to achieve their goals and find peace and joy.
Dr. Chichester holds NYS certifications as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a School Social Worker. Marcia is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and has attended postgraduate training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy. Marcia is Certified by the NYS Office of Mental Health to facilitate training on Creating Suicide Safety in Schools, is trained in providing crisis and grief support in workplace settings, and is a certified RYT 200 Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher.

She has experience treating a multitude of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, behavioral problems, grief, trauma, and relationship discord. Marcia will employ various therapeutic techniques geared toward the client’s needs.

In addition to her thriving clinical practice, Dr. Chichester is an Adjunct Lecturer at St. Joseph’s University Graduate Child Study Program, and an Education Consultant with NYC Public Schools and the NYC Administration for Social Services.
