Dr. Ali M. Khan – M.D.
Dr. Khan completed his medical training at Ziauddin Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan, completed his general adult psychiatry training at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from NYU. Currently Dr. Khan is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone School of Medicine, Inpatient attending at Bellevue Hospital/NYU and Per-diem ER psychiatrist at Cohen’s Children Hospital. His professional background involves working in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community treatment, catering to individuals across all age groups. Beyond clinical practice, he has actively engaged with national medical organizations and contributed to initiatives supporting both physicians and patients. Dr. Khan has published widely in the form of case reports, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. During training Dr. Khan held multiple leadership positions most notably serving as the inpatient chief during his fellowship. His accomplishments include having won the Area V Resident–Fellow Member Poster Competition at the American Psychiatric Association (APA) conference, Research Excellence Award during his residency and 3rd position at New York State Psychiatric Association (NYSPA) Resident-Fellow poster contest.
Dr. Khan’s approach encompasses a broad spectrum of challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD. He strongly believes in a symptom-focused approach to treatment, incorporating evidence-based practices and tailoring interventions to individual needs.
