Art Therapy

Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a thoughtful and critically essential technique that is a therapeutic healing conduit between the Client and the Traumatic event(s) to help them manage stress, improve judgment, and process the feelings associated with the identified Trauma(s). Art Therapy is a creative model used on children and adults to treat a broad scope of Mental Health Disorders and Emotional issues i.e. Anxiety, Depression, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Grief, and Family Conflict to name just a few. This brilliant creative process can be life changing and a healing agent for the Client by using their own works of Art to gain insight and perspective into their psychological construct that was shaped by these negative events. Art Therapy should be taken very seriously and is commonly used by Social Workers in Law Enforcement, hospitals, and community settings to treat victims of sexual assault. Art Supplies and crafts, for both adults and children, can be purchased at top online and in-store retailers such as Michaels, Staples, and Costco.
